Steps to Completing:

1.	Talk to Gwynn at the Mercenary Outpost.

2.	Find the Toad Oil in the Battle Quest Goliath.

3.	Talk to Gwynn at the Mercenary Outpost.

»	Optional: Talk to Tieve at the Inn.

4.	Find a Spider Gem in the Battle Quest The Five Spider Brothers.

5.	Talk to Gwynn at the Mercenary Outpost or Tieve at the Inn.

»	If you deliver the Gem to Tieve, then you have to go talk to Gwynn afterward.

6.	Find the Black Scar Scale Fragment in the Battle Quest The Fleeing Gnoll King.

7.	Talk to Gwynn at the Mercenary Outpost.

There is news at the Mercenary Outpost. Go talk to Gwynn.

Gwynn You know how to properly care for your weapons, I trust. I ask because Keaghan is coming to Colhen. You should all be honored. I imagine he is going out of his way to visit this humble little town because this was where he grew up. Marrec .... Gwynn (Gwynn looks around sternly when no one moves.) Why do you all just stand there? Marrec Eh? What do you mean? What else should we be doing? Gwynn Don't you have to make preparations for Keaghan's visit? Marrec Huh? Preparations? Gwynn Very well. I will take matters into my own hands. <Delia>, gather some Toad Oil. Marrec ? Gallagher ? Ceara ? Gwynn (Gwynn raises an eyebrow when everyone in the room gawks at her.) Ceara Er, did you say...Toad Oil? Sounds...disgusting. Gwynn Toad Oil is the secret to weapon maintenance. You are mercenaries. How do you not know this? Polish your blade with Toad Oil, and rain won't corrode it, not even Fomorian Blood will dull it. We must collect some for Keaghan. His weapons will have seen much bloodshed in his travels. Marrec But where are we supposed to find this...Toad Oil? Aodhan That is simple. Toads produce the oil when they are surrounded by mirrors. Marrec Are you serious? Aodhan (Aodhan frowns.) Marrec, be respectful. Marrec Oh, right. Right! Yes, now that we know how to get Toad Oil, we should catch some toads. Immediately. Gallagher Fine by me. Shall we, <Delia>? Let's go.

Find the Toad Oil in the Battle Quest Goliath and take it over to Gwynn.

Gwynn Do you have it? (You show her the Toad Oil and she nods.) Good. Marrec Wait a second. There's more? Isn't the Toad Oil enough? Gwynn Don't be ridiculous. You can't welcome the great Keaghan with just this one little thing. Of course there's more. Now, stop whining and get to work. Marrec I--I see. Well, what do we need to find? Gwynn A gem. A Spider Gem. Marrec A Spider Gem? Gwynn That is correct. The gem will create a red afterimage for his blade. He wields quite a magnificent weapon, you know. Marrec .... Tieve (Tieve peeks her head in the door of the Mercenary Outpost.) Marrec Hey! Tieve! What brings you here? Gwynn (Gwynn stamps her foot impatiently.) We have no time to waste. Let's get to work. Tieve Oh, you guys sound busy... Marrec Nah, we're not busy at all. What's up Tieve? Tieve Oh, no... It's nothing. Nevermind. I should get going. Marrec Tieve? Wonder what that was all about. Gwynn Focus! Keaghan could be here any minute.

Tieve Oh, <Delia>. I'm so glad you stopped by. I actually have a favor to ask... Remember how I stopped by the Mercenary Outpost earlier? Well, I want to get a present for Keaghan. Thing is, I'm not strong enough to get the gift on my own. I want to give him a Spider Gem. Can you get one for me?

Find a Spider Gem in the Battle Quest The Five Spider Brothers and deliver it to either Tieve or Gwynn. [If you take the gem to Tieve]:

Tieve Oh, did you find the gem? You found it! You really have it! [If you select "Keep"]: Tieve Oh, aren't you going to give it to me? No? Well, please come see me if you change your mind. [If you select "Give"]: [[File:{{{npc}}} (NPC Icon).png|text-bottom|35px]] [[{{{npc}}}]] Delivered [[Spider Gem|Spider Gem]] Tieve I'm sorry you had to go through all that trouble, just for me. Thank you. Thank you so much! Spider Gems are said to contain the power of spiders. And having this gem is supposed to keep you safe on the battlefield. It's a guardian stone, of sorts. (Tieve giggles.) I'm not sure all of that is true, but I sure hope so! Keaghan probably doesn't even need a silly trinket like this, but still... (Tieve giggles.) I hope he likes it!

Since you gave the Spider Gem to Tieve, tell Gwynn you couldn't find it.

Gwynn Where have you been all this time? You're late. And what about the item I asked you to bring? (You tell her you couldn't find it.) Argh! You can't do anything right! Forget it. Marrec, you go find the Spider Gem. <Delia>, I have something else I need you to do. Marrec Uh, who, me? Gwynn Yes, you. Why? Not sure you can handle it? Marrec No! Of course I can handle it! Gwynn Then I'm counting on you. Marrec .... Gwynn <Delia>, I have a different task for you. I need a Black Scar Scale Fragment from the Chief of Runaway Gnolls. The item is rare and hard to obtain, but it is great for sharpening blades, not that Keaghan's blades will need sharpening. His weapons are always in impeccable shape. Still, it is the thought that counts.
