Break Off Tips[edit | edit source]

  • Location: Helmet

Battle Skills & Attacks[edit | edit source]

  • Ulchas Summons four floating swords that orbit around him. These swords lock onto the player furthest away from him, and launch at them. Causes Open Wound.
  • Ulchas Summons his Sacred Sword Aquillore as a mob to attack players.
  • Performs an alternating combo. Ulchas starts with a kick followed by a pommel strike and then a quick pommel strike. He may use a second pommel strike before the quick pommel strike OR he may slam his sword into the ground after the first pommel strike.
    • Karok can Clash his sword slam attack.
  • Performs a quick pommel strike.
  • Stabs his sword into the ground causing an AoE effect around him.
  • Sticks his sword into the ground and engulfs himself in light, healing himself. When he finishes, he will recover a full bar of health. He will do this often throughout the fight.
  • Charges a distant enemy. May charge multiple times before attacking with his sword. He may not even attack at all.
  • Charges his sword with energy and stabs forward.
  • Performs a two-hit attack. Ulchas swings his sword upward followed by a second upward swing. May substitute the second attack with a charged stab.
  • Swings at a player not directly in front of him.
  • When he is down to 8 bars of health, he will alternate buffs on himself for the remainder of the fight. These buffs last roughly a minute and are always in a set order:

--First he charges himself with glowing light, halving the damage he takes but cutting the damage he deals considerably.
--Second he charges himself with fire. His defense and attack return to normal, but he will cause small AoE effects on distant targets.
--Third he charges himself with blood. His stats are normal, but any damage he deals will return to him as healing, including damage from Open Wound (If any player dies while his blood buff state is active, Ulchas's health will recover 3% of a full bar).

  • When he is down to 3 bars of health, he will charge up and use all three buffs at once for about a minute.

Tips and Advice[edit | edit source]

  • His sudden pommel blow is arguably his most dangerous attack, since you'll have very little time to react to it.
  • The destroyed tower in the middle of Malina can block his orbiting blades.
  • His orbital swords target the player farthest away from him. They shoot roughly every 4 to 5 seconds.
  • While his light buff is active his damage will be cut to the point that it no longer becomes a threat, though Open Wound still deals full damage.
  • His fire buff won't trigger the AoE effects if you stay close to him.
  • If you intend to solo Ulchas, be prepared for a very long fight. His high HP coupled with his defense and lifesteal buffs can drag the fight on for over half an hour.
  • With the 20 minute cool downs it's advisable to have an order of canceling set up for everyone to use their suppression (1000 SP) skill; Lynn's Five Finger Death combined with 10 Swift Assassin marks, Crossgun Kai's Active: Massive Impact, Pillar Karok's Active: Earthquake are some cancels for the healing aura.
  • The fight can drag on for the entire hour if his healing aura is not canceled.
