This guide is mainly for people who chose mouse mode, but if you didn't choose mouse mode this guide is still usable. This guide can also be used for Fiona for tricks to kill the boss, but of course is more usable for Lann. This guide is also mainly for soloing. I even added some monsters for you to check out if you need to make a mental strategy. My character name is Androidninja in Vindictus if you want to donate something for this guide, need help with a mission, or need tips (Or anything else).

Battles[ | ]

Perilous Ruins[ | ]

Prologue[ | ]

Well, when you begin, watch the cutscreen to get a bit of background. \ When it finishes, follow the guide and virtual keyboard and try to do what it does to learn. (Also, hold shift to run! It takes away stamina though, as well as smash.) Slash slash slash SMASH! Hold enemies with E, then right click for a special! Kick with R! Dodge after consecutive attacks to avoid enemy attack. Items are also very helpful. Auto throw them, aim-throw them, smash and normal attack with them. Note: Some items break when you use smash! Continue slashing foes until Tieve faints and you must carry her. When you get to the roof, keep slashing and smashing away the spider, and dodge right before it attacks. Don't let it get away!!! ... Too late. Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O3TZv6040io

After that, make a very handsome and/or sexy character as well as a fitting username.

Enemies[ | ]

Wenshardt (Enemy)

Mercenary Training Site[ | ]

When you get to the Mercenary Training Site, this is where you show your TRUE power. (Tips can be very useful!) Hack hack SMASH! And any combination you prefer. Remember to kill a wood monster with smash to complete the bonus mission! Finish enemies with FINISH above them, then take the items left in that ball of black mist. When you get to the boss, throw items to stun him as well as attacking, smashing, and throwing the wood monsters at it. Dodge his swift attacks and before you know it, you killed him.

Enemies[ | ]

Wood Man Guard (Enemy)

Fomorian Emblem[ | ]

The next battle, Fomorian Emblem, takes you into the real world of Vindictus. Right click potions in your inventory on the boat to set them to a hotkey (Recommended)(You cannot set potions or secondary items in dungeons!). Pick an oath of honor, a mission to prove yourself as well as get extra EXP. Before you leave it is recommended to use your AP on skills by clicking on "Skills" (Or pressing "V").This is where everything becomes real and you can go in a party. (Going in a party increases EXP bonus but makes enemies stronger! (Tip on Vindictus)) Do everything you have learned. Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mWA7Rv6vpxM

Enemies[ | ]

Shadow Fang (Enemy)

Gold Leather[ | ]

You are on the hunt for the legendary gold leather. You aren't 100% used to Vindictus yet, so I will remind you to use your AP as well as choose an oath of honor. Well, you know what to do, kill gnolls, and break items and boxes to look for ergs (for the bonus mission). This boss is extremely weak to items. Attack pillars (Or make your hairy friend hit them), and if the rocks fall on him, he may be stunned. When he takes a rest, attack and smash him. Pick up more rocks to throw at him, and before you know it, you have just added 1 monster to cross off of the "To Kill" list.

Enemies[ | ]

Gwynn's Request[ | ]

This is hard for beginners so man up and get ready. It is recommended to do this one in a party if it is your first try. It is also recommended to bring spears. If you bring spears, you can use them on the boat without losing any, so it is good for target practice! Remember to look for items for the bonus mission! Well, Foul Snowpaw is difficult. He isn't stunned easily, but it is worth it to try to throw rocks at him. If you brought spears, from a good distance try to spear him until he is stunned, then either throw rocks at him or slash slash smash. If you have low HP, get far away until you can use an HP potion. Sometimes, if the battle goes on long enough, he will get tired for 10 seconds where you can attack him. So the main pointer in this mission is to wear him out and practice spears!

Enemies[ | ]

Wind Trough the Ruins[ | ]

This one is a bit easier than Gwynn's Request. The bonus missions are to have your equipment destroyed less than 5 times (dodge!), and getting items. Sometimes the boss drops earrings and break a lot of boxes, pots, and poke around for 5 ergs. What’s this? A new enemy? Now you can kill Veteran Gnolls! They have more HP and are stronger, but you can still grab them and do specials! Well, the boss is just like the one in Fomorian Emblem. Very weak to rocks, and gets knocked down easily, and has only x2 bars of health.

Enemies[ | ]

Decisive Battle[ | ]

This was probably the hardest battle for me ever. Do this one in a team. Bring spears, max potions, and maybe phoenix feathers. This one tests your skills as well as your ability to work in a group. Kill the red wisp with a spear (He is weak to items!). Chief Gnolltain is very tricky and is full of health... Spear him until he is stunned, then smash rocks on his head (Might also make him drop his hat!). When you run out of spears, have someone distract him while someone else attacks him or uses items. If you are soloing this, dodge after every attack and do 2-4 hits and run. Make him hit the pillars so they break on him (And so you can throw rocks at him!) for extra stunning power. If you have no more spears or items the map, look around. If you are 101% sure there are no more items, do as I said and dodge hit hit smash dodge. You will not defeat him on your first try, so keep on trying to kill that red shrimp!

Enemies[ | ]

Friends?[ | ]

Bring potions and do this in a group on your first try. Don't worry, there isn't a 20 foot tall red grizzly bear in this battle. It is easier than Decisive Battle. In this epic battle, you almost automatically jump right into the large "arena". You first battle waves and waves of Veteran Gnolls. Kill the gnolls, and when it says more will come in 15 seconds, that is your time to use your potions, plan out a strategy, and get your items ready. After all of those Veteran Gnolls, you battle a Veteran Centurial Captain. He is one of those bosses that does a strong yet slow attack. Do what you have learned and throw items. Use his slowness as an advantage. After every attack slash him or spear him. When he is down, use items or attack.

Enemies[ | ]

Veteran Centurial Captain

Revenge[ | ]

This one is tricky but with trickiness comes tricks you can use. Let Jagged Tail shoot Wolf Tail with its bow (Great for knocking down Wolf Tail!). When you see it getting ready to charge, obviously dodge early. It is best to focus on one of the enemies first (Wolf Tail). When Wolf Tail is dead, anticipate when the arrows are going to be shot from Jagged Tooth's bow, then attack (Jagged Tooth is very sow at recharging arrows!). Next, pick up the dropped items and save pictures of your victory.

Enemies[ | ]

Jagged Tooth (Enemy) Wolf Tail (Enemy)

Hoarfrost Hollow[ | ]

Hoarfrost Hollow[ | ]

You don't have to do this one in a party, I beat this one on my first try. What is this strange place? These aren't gnolls! Could these be... kobolds? Kobolds are a tad bit stronger than gnolls as well as uglier. Is that a... polar bear?! The kobolds have new weapons and you can break their huts to use as a giant weapon. There are also cooking pots (Very easy to throw and do a lot of damage!). After you explore this strange (and cold) land, you see a giant kobold pop out of nowhere! It has very strong attacks. You can smash huts and throw cooking pots at him! Avoid his disease by dodging before he sneezes all over you. Try to defeat him with objects for a bonus mission as well as a good first experience of Hoarfrost Hallow.

Enemies[ | ]

Southern Rock Cliff[ | ]

This one is just like in Perilous Ruins. A giant kobold with a powerful axe trying to kill you. Just like the old days. This is where everything starts to get harder again. Kill the mid-boss if you want, but it will escape if you don't act quick. I could kill him soloing, so killing with a party won't be a problem. The REAL boss is pretty hard. Loud Etunoch is just like Cunning Etunoch; he has a giant axe which he swings wildly. He isn't very fast (though his attacks are), so use that time to spear him, bomb him, throw items at him, etc... When he is stunned, either smash a kobold hut item on him, or just hack hack slash (Don't smash other items or they will be "unthrowable"!). When you kill him, you know you just have a long road of "giant kobolds" to kill.

Enemies[ | ]

Western Ice Passage[ | ]

Here, you just leisurely kill kobolds until you reach the boss. This boss has inaccurate slingshot bullets which are easy to dodge. Smash huts on him after he shoots (And hope he misses) or throw cooking pots at him until he is down. It is easy to attack until he shoots, and attack until he shoots, and attack until ACHOO! He sneezes on you, then attack until he shoots...

Enemies[ | ]

Another Slingshot[ | ]

Kill kobolds, solve puzzles, dodge traps... Another boss with a slingshot? Correction: 2 bosses with slingshots?! Like we did last time, focus on one while the other shoots the one you're killing. After one dies, pick up the red jewels for mid-battle health. Then, use the technique you used in Western Ice Passage. Another quick kill, thanks to you. You can hear the woman screaming, "You're my hero!"

Enemies[ | ]

Final Slingshot[ | ]

Do anything that will get you to the boss room, and when you get there you are still tired out from the last battle. No more two-kobold sling-shotters... Because now there are 3 kobold like monsters with slingshots. Let one shoot the other etc... and it is recommended to start killing the Big Brother Ebeloch, then Brother Ebeloch. Bullets are stronger and more accurate... Why do you do this to me Morrighan? After you kill one, take the health jewels, kill the other one, do the same, and kill the last one you will have an exciting story to tell your bro's (Even if you're a girl).

Enemies[ | ]

Fomorian Order[ | ]

I found him! Die! Arg! Take this! And that! What the f... It was a fake! THERE'S ANOTHER ONE! Die! Eat this! ...Another fake one? *sigh* Wait... is that the real one? You're used to this by now! Giant kobold? Big axe? Major damage? Hmm... he seems so familiar... have I battled him before?

Enemies[ | ]

Frost Stones[ | ]

I heard a legend about this place... 100% mineable area. Jewels everywhere. This is so fun, I'm going to be so rich... Whoa, giant blue caterpillars with razor sharp teeth? 4 of them?! Give me a break... Focus on one of them and hope the other Kings don't see you. They can't run up and hit you, but they can bite you, slap you, and spit at you. Because they can't move, use that disability for running around the corner and using potions. all 4 down, now to mine some more... What the... did that plant just come to life? I’ll just throw stuff at it, attack it, dodge around it in a circle, and use potions around the corner! That'll do it!

Brynn's Research[ | ]

Another easy kill to add on the list today, right? Wrong. This guy is one mean green (red) lean bean jean machine. Look at all the metal he wears! Drinking attack potions then throwing them at you, sharing his bad breath as well as a strong attack! How do we kill him? He is another slow moving guy. Spear him, attack him when he's down, and throw pots at him. You can also break large heaps of ice to throw at him or maybe spear him! Then watch as the flag hits the floor.

Enemies[ | ]

Kobold, Kobold Archer, Kobold Warrior, Icedredge, Cave Wisp, Wisp, Red Spider, Cave Spider Midboss: Eflame Boss: Robust Echeloch Robust Echeloch (Enemy)

Kobold Chief[ | ]

Another hard kill I'm guessing? Correct! This guy is 99% armor and 98% spikes. He is also extra slow. Use his slowness as an advantage and items, and have someone distract him while others attack. You will get damaged if you attack him while he is in a little defensive ball! This one will require a lot of teamwork. Make the weakest one distract while others attack or spear.

Enemies[ | ]

Kobold, Kobold Archer, Kobold Warrior, Icedredge, Cave Wisp, Wisp, Red Spider Midboss: King Icedredge Boss: Sturdy Emuloch Sturdy Emuloch

Dethrone the White Tyrant[ | ]

It is recommended to join a party that says "AP FARMING" or "F12" or anyone with a title. These are experienced people who have killed hundreds of polar bears and with their party can kill one in 5 minutes with just spears. I need a break from all of this battling. Can I PLEASE retire and go on the life of a farmer or a fisherman? Sigh, I guess not. Kill kobolds. Wow, this is a huge room! A lot of icicles and boxes and... mystery meat! What’s that back there? Another giant kobold to kill? You guys are annoying me. I know your moves inside and out. Prepare to die!!! ... !!! Polar bear stole my kill! You must die! Spear it a lot and the polar bear will be down for a good time. It has many bars of health for you to take off with a snap.

A Town Engulfed[ | ]

This place... Looks like Colhen but on fire, with Vampires, Goblins, and Jelly... That Jelly actually looks good right now. You want to eat it. No time! You must kill these new faces! You can't grab Jelly or Vampires? Darn. Once again goblins are slightly stronger than kobolds. New obstacles? More slashing levers? Scarier bosses? You bet! A Servant of Twilight? This can’t be good. Your instincts tell you to kill kill kill this hellish monster! He looks just like a Goblin. He is slow and does quick attacks but attacks without thinking, so he doesn't aim very well. He also takes a while to get back up after falling.

Hell Beyond the Door[ | ]

What is that thing? Weird hair, and is that his skin or is he just covered in blood? What does his tattoo mean? He walks slowly and has a giant sword-like object in his hands. He does fierce attacks and is VERY slow at picking up his sword. Again, use his slowness as an advantage and don't let his open-firing hit you.

Enemies[ | ]

Blood Jelly, Goblin Servant, Wisp Boss: Information Chief Kalis Information Chief Kalis (Enemy)

Ellis's Trust[ | ]

This boss is fairly easy. Low health, careless jumps, not-too-strong attacks, it is perfect. Attack him after 2-3 jumps, and if you want to use potions, most times you try to hide behind a corner to drink a potion he won't follow. He is also fairly easy to hit with a bomb. When he is kicked down, just attack. Don’t bother to get items (Unless you are already holding one). Try to kill him with a small bomb to kill 2 birds with one stone, and save pictures of that creepy glowing freak.

Enemies[ | ]

Wake Up Call[ | ]

What giant ugly creature do I have to send to the reaper today? What the... Why is Kalis killing that poor girl? (You get a closer look) It's Ellis! No! After fighting a few more goblins, Kalis smashes him on a wall probably 3 times brutally and throws him on the floor. I thought I killed them! Servant of Hell and Kalis? Here we go again... (It is recommended to kill Servant of Hell first for some EXP but it is not required to kill him). So it is recommended to attack Kalis first if your main priority is completing the mission.

Friend or Foe[ | ]

This guy, he has no head, just a skull? Why are there hundreds of them? I can’t grab them... They have high hp... Vampires? I'll have to do this the old fashion way of Hack Hack Slash. Another vampire? A... really big vampire? One that is really fast and can shoot fire....? Hmmm, I can't close range attack him much, so he must be weak to items like small bombs and spears! Maybe distracting him would also be good for some early gunfire or some healthing up!

Whoa, that vampire looks like it could chop that feathery moon in the sky with 2 hands tied behind his back... Well, at least after every jab 1 person could distract like in the last game and 3 could attack... Why does this one have a red robe? Why did I have to fight another Ashen? This is gonna give me nightmares when I go to sleep tonight...

What is that? More jelly? That’s an awfully big jelly... It seems to be sensitive to smashed items and I saw with my own eyes it attacking someone constantly and the victim couldn't escape. Got it, Smash items, run, throw in a bomb or 2, then stomp kill! Done with that appetizer, now I'm ready for the main course. A red vampire, doesn't notice being attacked from behind, slow at charging attacks, weak to spears and bombs, and low health. Piece of cake!

AS OF OCTOBER 26: A good equipment for earlier level 20ers? The Sharpshooter Leather Armor Set. Its a bit expensive (25k), but not if you have my average wealth of 200k. Stats:DEF +1013, STR +82, AGI +88, INT +42, WIL +26 Weight:175 Skills:Light Armor Proficiency E or above. Level:22 AS OF OCTOBER 26: Well, a good armor for higher levels is the Reinforced Set. I bought the set for about 15k. Stats: DEF +1122, STR +54, AGI +16, WIL +169 Weight:240 Skills:Heavy Armor, E Light Armor, E Cloth Armor Level: 28

Level 30-40[ | ]

AS OF OCTOBER 26:Well, I was thinking you should stay with Reinforced Set for now, but if you REALLY feel the need to get new armor, get the Heavier Red Tyrant Set. It is a bit pricey, but chances are people like you do the most main missions (i e Blood Prince or Dethrone the White Tyrant) to get the most gold ALL DAY. Costs 150k+ (about 160k excluding boots. Boots might be 40k?). Stats:DEF +1895, STR +120, WIL +166, HP +80 Weight:355 Skills:Heavy Armor Proficiency C or above Level:36
