Marrec New Blades are given a Crimson Blade Helm when they first join. It may not be pleasing to the eye, but it is pretty useful and you get a lot for the price. Ha, so now that you've got the equipment, how about you try and complete the Set? Most other sets are made up of several pieces, but the Crimson Blade Youth set only has two. Equipping the whole set will give you the Set Bonus. Come back and talk to me once you've got the whole set. Then I'll tell you a story related to it. Collect the Crimson Blade set and talk to Marrec.

Optional: Speak to Marrec again. Marrec Collect the Crimson Blade set. You'll get a small DEF bonus when you do. Collect the Crimson Blade set and talk to Marrec. Marrec Looks like you got the whole Mercenary Set. Now you look like a proper mercenary! The thing is, that Crimson Blade Helm was made by me. Surprised? Ha! It's really just 2 pieces of leather sewn together. Still isnt's pretty good for something made by a beginner? Ha ha, thanks for collecting the set. Oh, if you ever want to collect a Set of other items, ask Aislinn at the General Store for Equipment Story scrolls. Depending on the set you may be able to get a pretty useful title too.
