Break Off Tips[edit | edit source]

Battle Skills & Attacks[edit | edit source]

  • Picks up a large rock and throws it at a single player.
  • Charges up a massive orb which fires three small orbs to each player and tracks. Cannot be blocked.
  • Has the same attacks as Blacksmith Goibhniu, Bronzesmith Creidhne, Carpenter Luchtain, and Stonemason Gobanser. He also uses their abilities in a specific order. Be aware that Colru's attacks have much larger hitboxes due to his larger size.

Tips & Advice[edit | edit source]

  • Colru can pick up a large rock and throw it, which then breaks into two smaller pieces. These rocks can be loaded onto the Catapults in the room which can stun Colru. However, the rocks are fragile and can break if hit.
  • The boulder that Colru throws may be broken in midair with a Spear, Fine Spear or Chain Hook.
  • The orbs that Colru fires cannot be blocked. When he uses this attack, you must interrupt it immediately with SP: Reverse Gravity, rocks from the Catapults or hitting his Break Off with Spear or Fine Spear and making him flinch. Hitting his break off to flinch him will only work while it remains unbroken. Otherwise, you must use the retractable barriers to block the orbs.
    • The retractable barriers are located on two ends of the map indicated by a glowing, blue square. Hitting it will raise the barrier, allowing you to hide behind it.
      • If Colru or a player is standing near/on the barrier, it will not raise. Additionally, if Colru stands on the hiding spot, then the barrier will be inactive.
      • The switch will turn from orange to blue to glowing blue. The wall will only go up if the switch is struck while it is glowing blue. If it is struck too early (before it glows), the switch will turn orange, but the wall will not go up. This is an important note to take if Colru decides to use his AoE multiple times as one must not hit the switch too early.
  • For Kai, shooting body parts identified by Hunter's Eye may interrupt Colru's AoE. A Active: Chain Link attack with a miniature boulder (used for catapult ammo) will also instantly flinch Colru. For every character, hitting his break to cause a flinch will interrupt his AoE, which is best done with the catapult for an instant flinch.

Additional Notes[edit | edit source]

  • According to Aodhan, Colru shares a lifeblood with other Fomorians. In fact, Blacksmith Goibhniu, Bronzesmith Creidhne, Carpenter Luchtain, and Stonemason Gobanser are all different pieces that make up Colru.
  • Unlike practice mode, Colru can be done solo with Easy Mode. However, you will not face the smaller golems, instead entering the fight with Colru himself immediately after standing on one of the buttons.
