Marrec <Belle>! When'd you get here? Gallagher Yo, rookie! Perfect timing! (The Blades around you. They seem to have been in the middle of discussing something when you entered.) Gallagher We're voting for you to go to Ortel Castle to check something out for us. Ceara You're sending <Belle>? Gallagher Do you know anyone ELSE who has access to Ortel Castle, Ceara? Of COURSE I'm sending <Belle>. Ceara That's not my point. My point is that you shouldn't send anyone at all... Gallagher (Gallagher rolls his eyes and turns to you.) Now, you've heard about the secret chamber, yeah? The secret room in Ortel Castle where a beautiful woman resides... (Gallagher gasps at your confused expression.) Have you really not heard of this?! Marrec It's all just some stupid rumor. No one who's ever ventured into the secret room has ever returned. So no one can confirm whether there really is a beautiful woman there. Why argue about a rumor that can't be proved either way? Seems like a waste of time to me. Ceara Whoa... Gallagher Yeah, whoa... Marrec Why are you guys staring at me like that? Ceara It's just... You're right. You make perfect sense. Marrec And? You know, that doesn't explain the looks of utter bewilderment on your faces... Ceara (Ceara struggles to hide her shock, but fails.) What bewilderment? We're not bewildered that you're actually right, for once... Not at all. Marrec ...? Gallagher Yeah, stop distracting us, Marrec. (Gallagher turns to you.) So are you going or not? The only way for us to figure ou if this rumor is true is for you to go and find out in person. Ceara Oh, stop that, Gallagher. Do you even know where that room is? Gallagher If I knew, then it wouldn't be called a SECRET ROOM, would it, Ceara? Ceara Don't you think you should find out where it is before sending <Belle> off to met [sic] the "beautiful woman"? Gallagher How am I supposed to find that out? Ceara That's my point! You can't! Gallagher Are you saying I should just give up on this? That's not in my nature. Ceara I don't see how you have a choice. Gallagher I always have a choice. And I choose...to ask someone where the room is. Marrec Who are you going to ask, though? Gallagher (Gallagher struggles for a moment, then smiles.) Why, I'll ask the captain. He oughta know. He used to work with the Lord of Ortel, you know. He spent a lot of time in that castle. He'll know.

Ask Aodhan in the Mercenary Outpost about Ortel Castle

Aodhan (You ask Aodhan if he knows anything about the secret room in Ortel Castle. He laughs.) I didn't think you were the type to get so worked up about a beautiful woman, <Belle>. Actually, you're not. Someone ELSE must've sent you to ask about this. Gallagher (Gallagher whistles innocently and looks at the ceiling.) Aodhan Well, it isn't what you're thinking. Ortel Castle has gotten entirely too much attention recently. And most of the news has been rubbish. Buth the room is there...and no one has ever returned from it. It's not like you could enter the room even if you found it. You need a special trinket that she keeps on her to even access the room.

Tell Gallagher at the Mercenary Outpost what Aodhan said.

Gallagher Hmm, so we need a special trinket, eh? I wonder what that means... Ceara Maybe it's a ring or a necklace or something. Gallagher If it's valuable, that greedy witch in the Forge would know about it. Ceara You mean Shayla? Gallagher Yeah, she'll know. If it's worth gold, she knows about it. You can bet your life on that.

Head to the Forge to ask Shayla about the trinket.
