Break Off Tips

- Number of hits: 2
- Tips: Spears, Kai Longbow or Kai SP abilities (Ricochet, Magnum, Eagle Eye Assault) can get break hits. A successful break hit will flinch the Kraken's head.
Battle Skills & Attacks
Head
- Shakes the player's screen and gives it a red glow. During this time the head rises up, and then slams down with a ship-wide shockwave.
- Sucks in air. This pulls nearby players towards the mouth and makes it difficult for them to get away. Eventually it will spray a powerful burst of ink across the entire deck. This attack deals more damage than the roar.
Front Tentacles
- Rises up slowly and then drops down. This attack can track, see the notes section for details.
- Pulls away horizontally and shows it's spikes. After a few seconds, charges towards the player. This attack tracks the player.
- If not attacked by a player, rises up very high and then flops down on the deck of the boat. This will damage the boat's durability and anyone caught under the tentacle as it lands.
Back Tentacles
- Rises up slowly and then drops down. This attack can track, see the notes section for details.
- Pulls away from the boat and sways before pausing, then drops onto the deck and slides towards the player.
- If not attacked by a player, rises up very high and then flops down on the deck of the boat. This will damage the boat's durability.
Water Tentacles
- Pulls a Black Water Siren out of the water and throws it onto the deck of the boat. The Siren will then attack the nearest target.
- Pulls a Graverobber Crab out of the water and throws it onto the deck of the boat. The Crab will then attack the nearest target.
- Throws objects at a player.
- Flails wildly for a few seconds, then sweeps the deck of the boat and grabs a player. If successful, holds the player above the deck of the boat for a few seconds. If not interrupted, throws the player into the Kraken's mouth, killing the player.
Final Tentacles
- Pierces downward in an inverted U arc onto the boat if a player is nearby, slightly damaging the ship by 2-3% per hit.
- If attacked enough, will slowly slide back down into the water. The tentacle will return after awhile.
- If not attacked enough, will pull far away from the boat and then flop down onto the deck of the boat. This attack will massively damage the boat's durability. In the Lv. 70 - 80 mode, it will continue to deal damage until knocked off by player attacks as it will do 5% damage to the boat durability per 5 seconds.
Tips & Advice

Additional Notes
- The tentacles and head share the same HP bar.
- Side tentacles flinch after receiving 20,000 damage.
- Kraken cannot be killed by damage and will survive with at least 1 HP.
- On the top right corner is a durability gauge for the boat. If it reaches 0, a cinema will display the Kraken pulling the boat underwater, wiping the entire party and causing the battle to fail.
- There are four different phases in this battle:
- In the first phase, the Kraken's head, front, and back tentacles come into play.
- At 7 health bars, the water tentacles in between the front and back ones will appear.
- At 4 health bars, the final tentacles behind the back ones arrive. The Kraken will also begin to use its inhaling attack.
- At 1/2 health bar, the Kraken stops attacking, but cannot be damaged any further. Use the ballista at the entrance of the map to engage a cinema where a harpoon kills the beast once and for all.
- The left side tentacles (looking at the Kraken's head) will track if the player runs towards the Kraken's head, but will not track if the player runs towards the back of the boat. The right side tentacles (looking at the Kraken's head) will track if the player runs towards the back of the boat, but will not track if the player runs towards the Kraken's head.
- This applies to the tentacle attack that rises up and drops down.
