Allysse don't want you running into the jungle and you know I'm not gonna cross her. Deal with it. Esyllt Guys? We have a guest. My apologies for the sub-literate show of limited brain power you just witnessed. How can I help you out? (You hand over the items you received from Shayla, along with the commission letter.) Tristan Shayla sent you?! How's that old forest hag gettin' along? She still showing off her ta-ta's like they're goin' outta style? (Tristan catches sight of Esyllt and a blush creeps across his leathery old skin.) Oh, uh, sorry Esyllt, I didn't mean to... uh... Hey! That's some good lookin' gnoll leather! Shayla really goes for the best, don't she? (Tristan reads over the commission letter.) Hmmm, trying to get a bead on the the chief of Crescent Moon Island's magic makers? Miller I know exactly where you can find those! I'll take that commission! Asher Shut up, Milo! That commission is mine! Tristan Both of you shut up. <Hurk>, Shayla says you're good to go, but I make it a point not to let untested kids work for me. You wanna join the guild, you gotta take on this job. Miller No way! You said no new members today. If this chump gets to take the test, then I get to take it! (Milo snatches the commission letter from Tristan's hand and bolts out the door.) Tristan Sun-rotted son of a fishwife... Get back here you idiot! I wasn't gonna make you do all that work... (Milo's already long gone.) Tristan Milo's too blasted reckless to join up with us. I wouldn't send any of my people out alone on a job like this, especially not a kid. At least he can't get over to Crescent Moon Island without a boat or a fresh pair of flippers. Look, you got time before that little birdbrain figures out how to get to the island. Why doncha go to the inn and dump your luggage? You first job will be to tell Allysse what her brother's up to without gettin' killed. Just head up the road to the cliff. Ya can't miss the White Whale Inn. Allysse (Allysse paces around the inn's lobby.) I swear to every god and goddess across this world, Milo-- (Allysse notices you enter.) Oh, uh, hello! Um, sorry, sorry about that. It's my brother. He's, well, I can only assume he's getting up to no good. Are you here for a room? (You explain what happened at the guild office.) Allysse He did WHAT?! I'm gonna grab that stupid spiky hair of his and tear his pointy little head right off of his shoulders! (Allysse's burning gaze turns to you, and softens.) Oh, um, sorry. I'll, uh, get your things put in your room. I'm sure that little troll is still in town. You just go about your day. Go take the entry test, or whatever it is Tristan is having you do.

Go to Crescent Moon Island and locate a real ornery Earth Sorcerer. I want the weapon she carries. Okay... Esyllt Dummy. Tristan If these little sea urchins hadn't scared ya off yet, you can still join up. Just don't screw up that job, and you're in.

Miller Hey, old-timer! What took you so long? Don't give me that look. I'm here to help you out! the name's Mil-- (His voice suddenly drops into a nonthreatening growl.) The name's Miller. You're gonna need help if you want to survive this jungle, and I'm the only man that can do the job. Lucky for you, I'm an expert on dealing with those wanna-be jungle magicians. All you gotta know is that Zaka uses two kinds of quakes to shake things up. One is a big shaker that stays in one place. The other one will follow you wherever you go. You'll have to figure out which one is which on your own. Can't give you all of my secrets, can I?

Miller Wow, is that Zaka's staff? Can I see it? (Miller grabs the staff from your hands.) Don't worry, I told you, I'm an expert on this stuff. (Miller turns it over in his hands.) How do you make a quake with this thing? It's just a chunk of old wood. Hey, what are these markings by the handle? Miller traces one of the markings with a finger... and the staff shatters with a loud KRAK!) Miller (Miller stares down at the shattered staff.) Oh geez. You look mad, are you mad? You look really, really mad. Maybe... maybe we could take it back to the Magic Shack! I bet Enzo can, like, enchant it or something. Just meet me there, okay?! I can't have the Coffer Chasers seeing me around town. (Miller's voice drops into a raspy whisper.) They might figure out my real identity.
